Former Team Members
Over more than a decade of service, SMCL has been shaped by the dedication and expertise of many talented individuals. We gratefully acknowledge the invaluable contributions of our former team members, whose work played a vital role in building and advancing the SMCL NGS Hub. Their efforts have strengthened our research capabilities and supported collaborators across the UK and beyond. We take pride in their achievements and continue to celebrate the lasting impact they’ve made on the SMCL NGS Hub, the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, and the wider scientific community.

If you were part of the SMCL team and notice your name is missing, we’d love to hear from you. With over a decade of service, many individuals have contributed to our journey, and we’re committed to recognising everyone who helped shape our story.

 Visiting Students

At SMCL, visiting students—typically joining us over the summer—are immersed in a vibrant environment that combines cutting-edge scientific research with hands-on clinical training (available to clinical students through the department). Our programme emphasises close mentorship, interdisciplinary collaboration, and meaningful outreach, equipping future scientists and clinicians with the insight and experience to lead with impact. Please note that we are unable to provide funding for this programme; students must secure their own financial support.
